HOT ROCK IN MALAYSIA

In summary, our hard core hot rock friends are a bunch of climbing enthusiasts who in the famous Big Red Truck BIRT (that has circumvented the globe numerous times) they go from country to country and visit the climbing spots to do some climbing and touring the interesting sights while they are at it.
I heard of Hot Rock some 8 years ago back when it was run by a guy named Stewart who has since retired from globetrotting. Now, Duncan a former participant of the tour has taken over the running of Hot Rock.
I met up with Duncan and Lianna through a mutual friend who knew Duncan in a previous life 
before his globetrotting days. He had his leg in a cast and was on crutches, having broken his heel in Thailand while climbing at Tonsai. The BIRT is at present time in Shah Alam undergoing repairs, after which they will move on to Gua Musang and then to Perhentian Island this weekend.Then its off to Singapore where the truck will be put on a boat to bring it to India.
I hope to be able to pay homage to BIRT before it leaves Malaysia, and be in the presence of this legendary vehicle that has hosted and nurtured so many climbers and travelling to so many countries around the world in all these years.
